We offer our students a broad and balanced curriculum at the Intermediate, with a strong focus on developing students’ Literacy and Numeracy skills.

Students who have special academic ability are encouraged to join our weekly school Extension Programmes in English, Mathematics, and Science.

Students who require special support are part of a number of programmes that aim to lift their Reading and Writing levels.

School-Wide Opportunities Programme – an electives type programme offering students the opportunity to work with other teachers in a range of areas, including languages.

Te Kahui Tamariki

This is another unique feature of the school, a class which focuses on teaching Māori alongside English and all other core curriculum subjects. There is an excellent Kapa Haka group in our school and all students who wish to may join the weekly Kapa Haka Group practices. You don‟t have to be in the TKT class to join the group for practices/performances.Parents have to fill in a second enrolment form to have their child in this class. Please ask for a TKT Enrolment Form.
