Behaviour code

Our school values/motto is:

What are our rights and responsibilities and what are our expectations?

  • We have the right to teach and learn without interruption.
  • We have the responsibility not to interrupt.
  • We have the right to be treated with respect.
  • We have the responsibility to treat others with respect.
  • We have the right to teach and learn in a safe environment.
  • We have the responsibility not to bully or be a danger to others.
  • We have the right to feel proud of our school.
  • We have the responsibility to act in ways that build a good image.
  • We have the right to a good education.
  • We have the responsibility to learn and apply rigour.
  • We are all responsible for our own actions and we must allow others to have their rights.

Consequences

Rewards

Appropriate behaviours are acknowledged and rewarded in many different ways: Certificates, stickers, socials, school trips, bonus points, prizes etc. Inappropriate behaviour will be dealt through the following consequences:

  • Verbal warning
  • Time out
  • Class / Area detention
  • Meetings with parents
  • After school detention
  • Stand-Down
  • Exclusion
